4/365 - Lazy Organizing Day

First off, I want to say thank you so much for all of the kind comments yesterday! Thank you so much for the motivation! I am so excited to get to know each and every one of you and I am excited to follow you on your 365 journey also!

Today is a dreary day in our part of Texas. The little ones and I are still fighting off our yucky colds and my oldest is back in school. So I am having a bit of a down day. Today I am taking all of my magazines that have piled up, and I am going to clean them out. Before the holidays, I was really into cooking up new and healthy recipes and I have fallen back into the habit of cooking something quick and easy and is not so good for us. So I am getting back into my system and routine. When I read a magazine and I am done with it, I like to rip out the pages that interest me and keep them in binders. I have a cookbook binder that holds all of my recipes that I find in my magazines and on the internet, a photograph binder that holds pictures that inspire me and a home and craft binder that has home projects and crafts that I would like to try.  I plan on menu planning again next week. Oh and my son insisted that Shamu was going to be Mommy's helper.

I used to do this with fitness mags and exercise features in womens mags. I dont really read magazines anymore now that so much is digital, but this kind of makes me miss it :)

Keara, what a good idea to split up your magazine scraps into different folders!

Side note: Do you use something electronically for your menu planning, or do it by hand? I'd like to find a good template for menu planning somewhere to make the process easier.

I have a hard time getting around to those kinds of projects, but I see you were successful...how much credit do we give to Shamu?

Such a great idea. I really should do something like that with all the lovely magazines that I have shoved in my cookbook cabinet because I want to keep a recipe, same with craft mags. Thanks for the inspiration!

Whew, you are organized. I love to be organized but I HATE the process of organizing... does that make sense??

I love organizing things!! This picture just makes me so happy! I used to have a notebook like that with magazine articles I liked. I should start doing it again :O)
