161/365 Yay! Bird Eggs

Remember me posting about the nest that was made in our wreath on the front door? All the way back on May 3rd? Well our birdies FINALLY decided to lay eggs! I was surprised to see this today! I don't know if this is it or if they will lay more eggs, but the kids are SO excited! Anyone know about how long it will take for them to hatch? We are thinking they are some kind of finch, but we are FAR from bird experts. They are pretty small birds. I am surprised to see eggs this big.

This is a beautiful picture, Keara! That's so neat that you finally have some eggs for your next. I hope you're still able to use your front door, though:)

Beautiful shot of the nest and eggs Keara! This looks like a Chipping Sparrow nest to me. I have sent you an email about them (too long to put in your comments). I hope you and your family enjoy watching nature unfold before your very eyes! What a treat.

Love the little speckles on the eggs! The robins eggs in our yard took about 15 days to hatch- but I suppose it could vary from type to type

ooohhh...those eggs are sooo pretty! We have a robin's nest right outside our front door. There were 2 eggs when we first noticed it. Now there are 3. We have to walk really slowly and quietly up to our front door so the mama won't fly away. We are sooo excited!
