At first I thought you got a new puppy because he looks so sweet and innocent and then I figured it out. What kind of dog is he? I love his soulful eyes! Sorry I can't be of any help w/your camera question since I shoot with a Canon 7D.

I don't know anything about the D7000 - but I had a D40 and went to a D90 and all my lenses worked just fine - I think if you stick with Nikon, you can use them all when you update the body. I love your shots - what lens are you using???
