41/365 Candy Hearts

This morning, as my oldest was getting ready for kindergarten, I made the mistake of opening up a bag of candy conversation hearts. He ran over and asked if he could have one. I told him he could have ONE if he could read to me what was on it. Well... let's just say that 1 turned into about 20. Oops! It was so much fun to see him READ! It is so neat to watch your children grow and learn so much right before your eyes. They really do grow up way to fast!

P.S. I have company in town so I may not get to comment on your blogs as much as I would like to. I will be back soon! Thank you so much for your sweet comments! They really make my day!

Cool colors in this shot! I love whatever you did to PP it. I'm right there with you on reading. What a fun way to get inspired; I'll have to go get some hearts! Randi brought a book home from school and was supposed to read one chapter. We were both so excited she could do it that we read three chapters before we could stand to stop. Only problem is, Mike and I can't spell things out anymore!

Reading is awesome. My son is in the beginning stages and it is undescribable (sp?) how exciting it is!!!

I think he totally deserved being able to eat them if he could read them. How cute.

Beautiful picture and cute story! I taught kindergarten last year and it was so amazing to watch the kids "get" how to read-- its a real lightbulb moment in some of them and its such an awesome thing to witness!

I love the colors & composition. How did you only get one message showing? Editing or flipping over hearts?
